Founded in 1995 by Jean and Curtis Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald Lumber & Millwork—originally J.C. Forest Products—started as a small family business with just a single truck, a cellphone, and a home office.
Over the years, it has grown into a thriving company with two locations and a dedicated team.
After relocating from Orange County to Stafford County, the Fitzgeralds established their current Spotsylvania facility in 2000. In 2016 they expanded further by acquiring Colonial Hardwoods in Springfield, VA.
In 2022-2023, their sons, Keaton and Josh, joined the business, continuing a four-generation legacy in the hardwood industry. To mark 30 years of success and this new chapter, the company rebranded as
Fitzgerald Lumber & Millwork.
